Thank you for participating in the International PermaYouth Convergence – 2025 (IPYC–2025). IPYC–2025 is organised by Permatil (Timor-Leste) and Permatil Global (Australia). By registering for the Convergence, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

Code of conduct

• The IPYC–2025 is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive space where diverse perspectives are welcome.
• We uphold permaculture’s core ethics: Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share and expect participants to reflect these values.
• Harassment, discrimination, or disrespect toward attendees, facilitators, speakers, or staff will not be tolerated. Violations will be addressed at the discretion of IPYC–2025 organisers, staff and volunteers.
• Convergence sessions are for learning and collaboration, not for promoting personal or commercial goods or services.

Ticket fees

• To participate at the IPYC–2025 all attendees must first register their interest via the website form. Once we have received your expression of interest, we will send you further information and a link to buy your ticket.
• Tickets cannot be resold for commercial gain.
• Income from ticket fees goes towards covering the cost of the event. Any surplus is used to support and develop the PermaYouth movement. Your ticket purchase helps make IPYC–2025 possible. Thank you for your support.

Cancellation policy

• In the event that IPYC–2025 is cancelled, ticket buyers are entitled to a full refund (less booking fee). Refunds will be issued to the original card used to purchase the ticket(s).

Liability

• IPYC–2025 or the organiser’s Permatil (Timor-Leste) and Permatil Global (Australia) shall not be liable for any loss, injury, sickness or damage to any participant or their property occurring before, during or after the event.
• IPYC–2025 or the organiser’s Permatil (Timor-Leste) and Permatil Global (Australia) are not liable for circumstances that preclude a ticket holder from attending and cannot issue ticket refunds past the refund deadline under any circumstances. IPYC–2025 or the organiser’s Permatil (Timor-Leste) and Permatil Global (Australia) are not liable for loss of expenses incurred.
• The cost and logistics of getting to and from Timor-Leste for the IPYC–2025 event is at the expense and responsibility of each participant and/or the group they will be attending with. This includes:
  • flights, airport transfers, local transport, meals and accommodation before and after the IPYC–2025 event
  • any extra travel and/or activities undertaken by you and/or your group in Timor-Leste before or after the IPYC–2025 event
  Please note participants who will be attending the IPYC–2025 with a ticket subsidised by Permatil Global may be exempt from this liability.
• Attendees are to take full personal responsibility for securing travel insurance or covering any emergency costs that may arise, and acknowledge the risks associated with international travel and participation in the event.

Refund policy and transfer of tickets

• From Monday 4th August 2025 refunds will incur an administrative fee of 30% of the ticket price.
• Refund requests must be submitted in writing to ipyc-2025@permatilglobal.org by Monday 15th September 2025. No refunds will be provided after this date.
• Please note booking fees are non-refundable.
• If you would like to transfer your ticket to another attendee, please contact ipyc-2025@permatilglobal.org by Monday 6th October 2025.

Photography, video and audio recording consent

• By agreeing to these terms and conditions, ticket holders give their express consent to the use of their actual or simulated likeness and voice in connection with the production, exhibition and advertising of any photography, video and/or audio recording of this in-person and online event and/or any element thereof.

Program changes

• IPYC–2025 reserves the right to make changes to the program at any time and for whatever reason.
