Multimedia resources opening up access to education

New to Permatil Global’s Knowledge Bank is a series of demonstration video resources, based on the highly successful Tropical Permaculture Guidebook – international edition.

The videos provide easy-to-follow, visually based information to enhance learning and further support communities to develop food, water and climate resilience everywhere. Simply view, download and share!

The video series focuses on explaining climate adaptation strategies differently, through the use of highly visual demonstrations of permaculture principles and techniques, without the need for voice-over explanations.

By reducing language and literacy as barriers to education, the series is designed for everyone to use, providing universal access to community-transforming multimedia educational resources.

Working with communities in Timor-Leste

The videos are filmed in the districts of Aileu and Laga in Timor-Leste, with communities who are implementing and benefiting from the permaculture practices shown in the videos. We thank them for their enthusiasm, support and dedication during the filming process.

Permatil and PermaYouth Association staff and volunteers greatly assist the project with logistics, community liaison and participation during the filming of the demonstrations. Thanks also to Centro Tibar and their Horticulture Faculty who built the 3D permaculture model for filming.

Filming and video production in Timor-Leste is by Bernadino Soares Art, Film and Music Production.

Series one: Planting Water, Growing Communities (videos 1, 2 and 3) is part of Permatil’s Kiwa Initiative, IUCN funded project.
